Taglines vs. Slogans
What’s the Difference?
Good question! Taglines and slogans are similar, but there are some key differences.
Your tagline is directly tied to your brand and its core message. It’s the short, memorable phrase that encapsulates what your brand is all about. In contrast, slogans are created for specific campaigns or promotions. A brand may have one consistent tagline, but use many different slogans over time for various marketing initiatives.
A great example is Nike. Their iconic tagline is “Just Do It” – that embodies the brand’s focus on athletic motivation and empowerment. But over the years, they’ve used tons of different campaign slogans.

The tagline remains constant, while the slogans come and go.
When a campaign slogan is very successful and sticks in the mind of the audience, the brand sometimes adopts it as the tagline, which is what happened with AVIS and their “We try harder” campaign, and it’s also what happened with Apple and their “Think different” campaign.

This tagline succinctly captures the practice’s mission to provide life-changing care for their patients and community. It goes beyond just treating symptoms, and instead suggests a holistic, empowering approach that has a profound impact on individuals, relationships, and the broader social fabric.
As you can see, these taglines do an excellent job of distilling each practice’s brand essence, values, and unique selling proposition into a memorable, meaningful phrase. Crafting the right tagline takes time and careful consideration, but it’s a crucial element of chiropractic branding that can make a big impact.
